Unexplained power loss; suspected induction air filter icing in visible moisture near freezing temperatures

NOTEThe IO-540 is fuel-injected and has no carburetor. Carburetor ice is not a hazard for this engine. However, the induction air filter can ice over in visible moisture at near-freezing temperatures, causing power loss. The alternate air control bypasses the filtered intake.
