Governor onRPM 102-104%
Lift collective slightly, reduce RPMHorn/light at 97% rotor RPM
CAUTIONCAUTION – Avoid continuous operation at rotor speed of 60-70% to minimize tail resonance.
CAUTIONCAUTION – On slippery surfaces, be prepared to counter nose right rotation with left pedal as governor increases RPM.
NOTENOTE – During run-up & shutdown, pilot should uncover right ear, open right door, and listen for unusual bearing noise. Failing bearing swill produce an audible whine or growl well before final failure.
