NOTEFUEL: 48 gal usable: Tab in filler neck indicates 17 gal usable. Tanks are vented individually through a tube at the rear outboard corner of each tank. Start/Taxi/Takeoff Fuel approximately 1.5 Gal
NOTEELECTRICAL: 14 Volt DC; One 60-amp alternator. Ammeter shows electrical load on system not rate of battery discharge.
NOTELDG GEAR: Nose gear 30 psi Main gear 27 psi. Engage parking brake by pulling back on lever and depressing knob. Disengage by pulling back on lever and releasing. Gear warning sounds at 14β Β±2" MP or when 2nd notch of flaps is extended and the gear are up.
NOTESTALL WARNING: Warning light comes on 5-10 mph above stall
AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS NOTES reference
NOTESlips in excess of 2000' altitude loss could cause fuel flow disruption.
NOTEWait 2-5 minutes before resetting circuit breakers.
NOTESet 12β MP with prop full forward to simulate windmilling prop at minimum drag.
INTERIOR INSPECTION preflight_inspection
NOTE(Shaded Steps are for N7PT)
NOTESteps 21-28 should be accomplished expeditiously to minimize drain on the battery, particularly in cold weather.
EXTERIOR INSPECTION preflight_inspection
NOTE(Shaded Steps are for N7PT). During the exterior inspection, check the overall condition of the airplane. In particular look for any missing or damaged screws, rivets or antennas on the top or bottom of the aircraft.

NOTEThis will be a normal [short or soft field] takeoff (Review the checklist procedure as needed). Computed takeoff distance is _______ based on a liftoff speed of _______. If we experience any problems prior to liftoff, we will abort. If there is an engine failure or fire after liftoff but prior to _______ feet MSL, we will land straight ahead, making only shallow turns and maintaining a glide speed of 90 mph. If the engine failure or fire occurs above _______ feet MSL, we will _________ while maintaining a glide speed of 90 mph.

NOTEBefore the first flight of the day and as necessary during the day, preheat the engine and pull the propeller through several times by hand. Consider external power when the temperature is less than 40Β°F, unless the engine is still warm.
CAUTIONWhen pulling the propeller through by hand, treat it as if the ignition switch is turned on. A loose or broken ground wire on either magneto could cause the engine to fire.
CAUTION* DO NOT use the starter motor for more than 30 sec without allowing it to cool for 2 minutes before the next use.
STARTING ENGINE WITH EXTERNAL POWER engine_start
CAUTION* DO NOT use the starter motor for more than 30 sec without allowing it to cool for 2 minutes before the next use.
